Belgian NT to BB5 European Championship 7-11 NOV 2023
13 teams will compete for the title of European Champion at the Baseball5 European Championship 2023. Hosted in Druskininkai – Lithuania, this competition is scheduled to unfold from November 7th to November 11th 2023, promising five days of intense baseball5 action.
The Baseball5 European Championship 2023 participating teams are divided into two groups:
Group A: France, Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Finland, and Spain.
Group B: Lithuania, Italy, Czechia, Belgium, Estonia, and Moldova.
Compared to 2020, there are two new national teams: Finland and Spain.
The tournament kicks off on Tuesday November 7, 2023, with three days of round-robin matches. Games are scheduled every hour and 15 minutes across the two fields of the Lithuanian Sports Complex in Druskininkai. This initial phase will set the stage for the top three teams from each group to advance to the super round, commencing on November 10, elevating the stakes as teams pursue the title of European champion.
Simultaneously, the bottom-ranked teams from the initial round-robin stage (4th-7th) will engage in the placement round, a spirited battle to determine their final standings in the tournament. The finals of the Baseball5 European Championship 2023 are scheduled for November 11 with the bronze medal match set at 14:00, followed by the gold medal game at 15:15.
The finalists will secure their spots in the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024 in Hong Kong.
