Chicaboo’s Ladies are Belgian Softball Champion

With a 3-0 victory over the Hoboken Pioneers in the best-of-5 Belgian Series, the women of Chicaboo’s Stabroek convincingly won the Belgian Championship Softball Ladies for a second year in a row.

They are assured of European Softball for 2023, namely for the 2023 Women’s Softball European Premiere Cup – the highest attainable in Europe.

The fact that a Belgian Women’s Softball team qualifies for this is thanks to the Chicaboo’s women themselves, because they conquered the Women’s Softball European Cup 2022 in Italy in August unbeaten.

Softball is gaining popularity in Belgium, and so is the level of play. The Chicaboo’s provide the sporting proof at the top European tournaments and in the national Softball Men and Ladies Gold competitions. Such as the Chicaboo’s men also won the Men’s Softball Europe Cup 2022 in Prague last summer. With this win they secured a spot in the 2023 Men’s Softball European Super Cup.
