To the Baseball and Softball World,
Dear Coaches,
The KBBSF-FRBBS is calling for applications for several functions in the organization of the national teams.
The KBBSF-FRBBS sets the following medium-term objectives:
1) Maintaining its national teams in the European Group A
2) Belgium’s participation in European Championships
With the wish to ensure the best possible supervision of its teams, the KBBSF-FRBBS has defined a new structure for its national Baseball and Softball Ladies teams (staff for the national teams of Softball Men and Slowpitch are defined)
Baseball and Softball Ladies will each be led by:
– A Sports Director
– A Manager
Each Sports Director:
– will have a global view of all the national teams;
– supervise the continuous training of athletes, essentially in collaboration with the academies but also with the Head Coaches;
– will collaborate with the board of the KBBSF-FRBBS as well as with the Leagues for an optimal follow-up of the programs;
– will be responsible, subject to validation by the board, for the appointment of the Head Coaches and the staff of the national teams;
– could possibly be Head Coach of a national team.
Each Manager*:
– will be responsible for all logistics (travel, hotels, catering, equipment…) related to the national teams, both for official competitions and for any events (training camps, friendly games,… );
– support the Sports Director in his/her tasks;
– ensure compliance with allocated budgets;
– will facilitate the organization of events in Belgium or elsewhere in favor of the national teams.
In an unfortunately limited financial context, but with the observation that the motivation of all players (as well as coaches and parents) is very present, the KBBSF-FRBBS hopes that the opportunity to achieve major sporting objectives together will motivate coaches to undertake a long-term collaboration.
* Baseball
The Baseball Manager has been named. We would like to thank Cédric Peetroons for taking on this responsibility.
We also met the coaches of the national baseball teams who were active in 2022. Their application and their experience will of course be taken into account in this selection process.
* Softball Ladies
Ester Calderon Martinez has taken the role of Manager and has already met some of the coaches. We thank her for taking up this challenge.
We are looking for :
– Sports Director Softball
– Seniors Head Coach Baseball
– U18 Head Coach Baseball
Although we have already received applications that have caught our full attention, we hope to receive new applications in order to form the best possible staff for our national teams.

Beste Coaches,
De KBBSF roept op tot sollicitaties voor verschillende functies in de organisatie van de Nationale Teams.
De KBBSF stelt de volgende doelstellingen op middellange termijn vast:
1) Handhaving van de Nationale Teams in de Europese Groep A
2) Belgische deelname aan Europese Kampioenschappen
Met de wens om een zo goed mogelijke begeleiding van haar teams te verzekeren, heeft de KBBSF-FRBBS een nieuwe structuur gedefinieerd voor haar nationale Baseball en Softball Ladies teams (n.b. de staf voor de Nationale Teams Softball Men en Slowpitch zijn reeds gedefinieerd).
Baseball en Softball Ladies staan hierin elk onder leiding van:
- Een sportief directeur
- Een manager
Elke Sportief directeur:
– zal een globaal beeld hebben van alle nationale teams;
– toezicht houden op de permanente opleiding van atleten, voornamelijk in samenwerking met de academies maar ook met de hoofdcoaches;
– zal samenwerken met het bestuur van de KBBSF-FRBBS alsook met de Liga’s voor een optimale opvolging van de programma’s;
– zal, onder voorbehoud van goedkeuring door het bestuur, verantwoordelijk zijn voor de aanstelling van de Hoofd Coaches en de staf van de nationale teams;
– zou mogelijk Hoofd Coach van een nationale ploeg kunnen zijn.
Elke Manager*:
– zal verantwoordelijk zijn voor alle logistiek (reizen, hotels, catering, uitrusting etc.) met betrekking tot de nationale teams, zowel voor officiële wedstrijden als voor alle evenementen (trainingskampen, vriendschappelijke wedstrijden, …);
– de sportief directeur ondersteunen in zijn/haar taken;
– ervoor zorgen dat de toegewezen budgetten worden nageleefd;
– zal de organisatie van evenementen in België of elders ten gunste van de nationale teams vergemakkelijken.
In een helaas beperkte financiële context, maar met de vaststelling dat de motivatie van alle spelers (evenals coaches en ouders) zeer aanwezig is, hoopt de KBBSF-FRBBS dat de mogelijkheid om samen grote sportieve doelstellingen te bereiken, coaches zal motiveren om gezamenlijk deze lange weg te ondernemen.
* Baseball
De Baseball Manager is benoemd. We willen Cédric Peetroons bedanken voor het opnemen van deze verantwoordelijkheid.
Ook hebben we kennis gemaakt met de coaches van de nationale baseball teams die actief waren in 2022. Hun sollicitatie en hun ervaring wordt uiteraard meegenomen in dit selectieproces.
* Softball Ladies
Ester Calderon Martinez heeft de rol van Manager op zich genomen en heeft al enkele coaches ontmoet. We bedanken haar voor het aangaan van deze uitdaging.
We zijn op zoek naar :
– Sportief directeur Softball
– Senioren Hoofd Coach Baseball
– U18 Hoofd Coach Baseball
Hoewel we al aanmeldingen hebben ontvangen die onze volle aandacht hebben getrokken, hopen we nieuwe aanmeldingen te ontvangen om zo de best mogelijke staf voor onze nationale teams te vormen.

Chers entraîneurs,
La FRBBS lance un appel à candidatures pour plusieurs fonctions dans l’organisation des équipes nationales.
La FRBBS fixe les objectifs à moyen terme suivants :
1) Maintenir ses équipes nationales dans le groupe européen A
2) La participation de la Belgique aux championnats d’Europe
Soucieuse d’assurer le meilleur encadrement possible de ses équipes, la FRBBS a défini une nouvelle structure pour ses équipes nationales de Baseball et de Softball Ladies (les effectifs des équipes nationales de Softball masculin et de Slowpitch sont définis)
Le Baseball et le Softball Ladies seront dirigés chacun par :
– Un Directeur Sportif
– Un Manager
Chaque Directeur Sportif :
– aura une vue globale de toutes les équipes nationales;
– supervisera la formation continue des athlètes, essentiellement en collaboration avec les académies mais aussi avec les Head Coaches;
– collaborera avec le bureau de la KBBSF-FRBBS ainsi qu’avec les Ligues pour un suivi optimal des programmes;
– sera responsable, sous réserve de validation par le board, de la nomination des entraîneurs principaux et du personnel des équipes nationales;
– pourra éventuellement être Head Coach d’une équipe nationale.
Chaque Manager* :
– Sera responsable de toute la logistique (voyages, hôtels, restauration, équipement…) liée aux équipes nationales, tant pour les compétitions officielles que pour tous les événements (stages d’entraînement, matchs amicaux,… );
– Soutiendra le Directeur Sportif dans ses tâches;
– Veillera au respect des budgets alloués;
– Facilitera l’organisation d’événements en Belgique ou ailleurs en faveur des équipes nationales.
Dans un contexte financier malheureusement limité, mais avec le constat que la motivation de tous les joueurs (ainsi que des entraîneurs et des parents) est bien présente, la KBBSF-FRBBS espère que l’opportunité d’atteindre ensemble des objectifs sportifs majeurs motivera les entraîneurs à entreprendre une collaboration à long terme.
* Baseball
Le Manager Baseball a été nommé. Nous remercions Cédric Peetroons d’avoir assumé cette responsabilité.
Nous avons également rencontré les entraîneurs des équipes nationales de baseball qui étaient actifs en 2022. Leur candidature et leur expérience seront bien sûr prises en compte dans ce processus de sélection.
* Softball Ladies
Ester Calderon Martinez a pris le rôle de Manager et a déjà rencontré certains des entraîneurs. Nous la remercions d’avoir relevé ce défi.
