4 Flemish Softball Teams in Men’s European Super Cup this week in Prague.
The ESF Men’s European Super Cup is the Champions League of Fastpitch Men’s Softball. Thanks to the excellent results of last year, no fewer than 4 Flemish Clubs will participate in this year’s prestigious tournament. An achievement in itself! These are: Hoboken Pioneers, Berendrecht Bears, Brasschaat Braves and Borgerhout Squirrels. They are accompanied by Sara Dielen who is one of the international umpires during the Super Cup. Another great achievement, an Belgian umpire who has joined the ranks of WBSC (ISF) softball referees.
The Men’s European Super Cup will be held from 3 to 8 September 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic. The best 18 European Men’s Softball Teams will be divided into 3 groups and play a single round robin (5 games) over the first three days of the tournament. Then the top 9 will compete for the Super Cup and the bottom 9 for the ESF Cup via double elimination. The Finals are on Saturday 8 September.
